Biography
Bryan Loo was born and raised in Perlis. He graduated with a degree in biochemistry from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. After his graduation, he worked at a biotech company for two years as a salesman before becoming a chatime master franchiser for Malaysia. [4]
Loob Holding Sdn Bhd
Template:Puffery Loob Holding was founded in 2010[5] that has holdings in the Malaysia's Taiwanese bubble tea Chatime. Loob Holding began with quick service kiosks, the company is now transitioning to fast casual dining and full-scale restaurants, as well as technology start-up investments. The company manages brands in Malaysia including Chatime (previously), Tino’s Pizza, Soda Xpress, llaollao frozen yoghurt, Gindaco and Croissant Taiyaki; home-grown restaurants Hacha Mecha, IKKI, Define:food, Tealive (formed 2017) after legal disputes with original chatime[6] and seed funding technology start-up investment Neighbourfood,[7] all of which collectively serve over 100,000 consumers per month[8] in more than 200 outlets across the country.[9]
Recognition
In 2011, Bryan was nominated for the MRCA 8TV Entrepreneur Award, organized by the Malaysian Retailer Chains Association (MRCA) and 8TV. He was the winner of the Best Master Franchiser award in 2012. Bryan won the Ernst & Young Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2013[10] beating two other finalists.[11] He has also been featured in many news stories and magazines such as FHM and was featured as the cover story for the August 2013 edition of Malaysian Tatler.[12] Bryan Loo and his company are now focusing its resources on moving forward in its growth story with its 100-strong workforce.[13]
Personal life
Loo is married to teenage sweetheart Sally Quah.[14]
