Burak Kaan Bülbüloğlu[1] was born in Ankara in 1969 and married with two children. He is the founder and agency chairman of Veritas Media where is one of the biggest independent full service media planning and buying agency. Two years ago also digital communication agency named Mekanik (Mknk) is integrated the media system by him.[2] He graduated from İzmir Karşıyaka Gazi High School. He has a degree in Economics from Istanbul University. He abandoned an MD program on the Economic Structure of the European Union to go into business.
Career
Entered the media sector in 1995 with Doğan Medya He occupied the position of expert in the department of marketing in an organisation that included the daily newspapers Milliyet and Posta. In March 1996, he joined Universal McCann Istanbul, a member of Interpublic Group, that delivers full media planning and buying services. During his 9-year employment in this company he occupied various positions, including planning services to global and local customers. In 2001, he founded the first programming department in Turkey and introduced the concepts of content planning and integrated project design to advertisers at a corporate level. This department was awarded, under the name of McCann Corridors, the prize of the most profitable structure in 2002 and 2003 in IPG. In 2004 – 2005, he was appointed General Manager of Lotus Medya, an entity of the same group. This company would be the first local application firm in Turkey of a global media planning network.[3] In September 2005, choosing to be an entrepreneur for his own account, he left the group and founded Veritas Media. This company has the particularity of being the first of those new generation media planning and buying companies to deliver fully independent services at the time. In 2013, he added to his independent media operations Mekanik (MkNk) İletişim, a digital media planning and project company. Kaan Bülbüloğlu keeps investing in this field.
