Charlie's Angels is an upcoming American action comedy film directed by Elizabeth Banks and written by Evan Spiliotopoulos. It is set to be released on June 7, 2019, by Walt Disney Pictures, in partnership with Sony Pictures Releasing.


On September 15, 2015, it was announced that Sony Pictures Entertainment was rebooting the Charlie's Angels franchise, and Elizabeth Banks was in talks to direct the film.[1] Banks would also produce the film along with his Brownstone Productions' partner Max Handelman.[1][2] On December 16, 2015, Sony hired Evan Spiliotopoulos to write the script for the reboot film.[2] Disney acquired the rights for the film.


Filming is scheduled to begin on April 18 in Budapest, Hungary.[3]


Charlie's Angels is scheduled to be released on June 7, 2019 by Walt Disney Pictures, in partnership with Sony Pictures Releasing, which Sony distributes it in China and most of the international countries.[4]
