Template:Infobox university Since 1970 the Church of God was in charge to spread knowledge to people around the World. As a heritage of the Apostolic command, the Church of God started a mission in Uruguay, South America. After a lot of campaigns in the whole country, they applied for the recognition of the MEC (Ministry of Culture and Education in Uruguay).
Finally, after 46 years of work, the "Colegio del Espiritu Santo" started teaching on tertiary level. Over 20,000 ministers around the globe serve as missionaries of that movement, which has now become a University. With the advent of the Internet, they started their mission, combined with religious studies, through the Internet. They are located in Rosario, Uruguay, in the State of Colonia, in Uruguay, South America.
Among their recognitions, they are listed among the UNESCO WHED's list of accredited Universities worldwide.[1]
The current President is Prof. Daniel Odin (Ph.D.). He is an academic, with relevant cooperation into universities such as Carleton University in Ottawa,[2] SJDLC in Costa Rica,[3] and ORT in Uruguay.[4] The school currently enrolls more than 50,000 students overseas, according to the last UNO research.
CDES in Uruguay has become a member of the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI).
UNAI membership consists of colleges and universities in some 120 countries who are working with the United Nations to promote global priorities, including peace, human rights and sustainable development.

He holds also a Doctor of Philsophy from Eastern Institute for Integrated Learning in Management University in India [8] On June, 2010 he got a mention from the White House, trough the President's Volunteer Service Award for his work within the Church of God in Uruguay [9] He is also a Chair Professor and Advisory Counselor at Nan Jeon University of Science and Technology in Taiwan [10] Has also been appointed with a Professorship Designation at Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology & Research Academy in Cambodia [11]
Among his Decorations Dr Odin has been conferred the Third Degree of the Order Knights of Rizal from Philippines [12] On December 11, 2011 the Uruguayan Chapter for the Knights of Rizal is establish under Dr. Odin command.
The College of the Holy Spirit CDES is listed among the List of universities in Uruguay
