Maya (Sinhalese: මායා) is an upcoming 2016 Sri Lankan Sinhala horror film directed by Donald Jayantha as an official Sinhala remake of Raghava Lawrence's Tamil film Muni 2: Kanchana.[1]

This is the first Sri Lankan 3D movie.[no citations needed here] It is the remake of second film in famous Tamil series of Muni.[no citations needed here] Raghava Lawrence was the lead actor in Tamil. Sarathkumar played the same role in Kanchana as transgender and Lakshmi Rai played another role. In this movie, Pubudu Chathuranga is the lead, and Ranjan Ramanayake acts in a transgender role as Maya himself. The film's trailer was released on January 5, 2016 worldwide.[2]
