People’s Daily English language app was launched on October 15, 2017 to widen the newspaper’s international reach. It is a new window and platform of the People’s Daily.It offers a website interface, mobile apps for Android and iOS.[1]
The English language app marks a key step in integrating the People’s Daily’s traditional and new media.
The launch of the English language app helps fill the void for the People’s Daily to disseminate news to the English-speaking world.
Aimed at “connecting China and the world,” the People’s Daily English language app provides comprehensive news and perspectives on China and the world for a global audience.
The People's Daily English language app is under the New Media Center of the People's Daily.[2][3]

The app serves global users with an innovative product design and insightful information and perspectives. It aims to offer users the best experience by providing the most up-to-date news and useful information, offering tips on work, travel and life in China.
The app integrates resources from the People’s Daily media group to offer diversified news and perspectives from home and abroad and provide "one-stop information consumption" for its global users. It has cooperated with relevant ministries and institutions to build a service platform to better connect China and the world.
On June 11, the app launched its 2.0 version, which has optimized its interface design and the users’ experience, adding new functions, including individualized news recommendations, intelligent Q&A and live streaming. A promotional video was released during the launch.
The English language app includes major sections like top news, China, world, opinions, business, lifestyle, and some new media features like PD Studio, PD Talk, PD Café and podcasts have already attracted attention.[4][5]

Ios users can download directly from the Apple store.
Android users can download it from Baidu Mobile Assistant.[6]
Use
Entering the client interface allows you to browse news in separate columns. To participate in comment interaction, you need to log in to your personal account. At present, the APP supports four login methods, namely login via WeChat, Sina Weibo, Twitter, and Facebook accounts, and binding with major social media accounts at home and abroad.[6]
