Peyush Bansal is an Indian entrepreneur, co-founder and CEO of Eyewear e-commerce platform Lenskart.

Early life

Peyush is originally from New Delhi, the capital of India. He did his schooling from Don Bosco School (Alaknanda, New Delhi) and is an electrical engineer from McGill University in Canada. He also holds a post graduate diploma in entrepreneurship from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore[1]

Career

Peyush started his career as a Program Manager with Microsoft[2] in USA where he was part of the team that created the “save as pdf” function in MS office. In 2008, he founded Searchmycampus.com,[3] a classified website catering to Delhi University students and their various service requirements including job search, accommodation and car pool among others.

In 2008, He founded Valyoo Technologies and launched, Flyrr, an online site selling spectacles and focused on the US market. In November 2010, he started a similar business, Lenskart, in India.[4]
