Rana Yashwant is Managing Editor Indian 24-hour Hindi news television channel India News.[1] He hosts two shows namely Ardhsatya and Sangharsh. During Bihar Legislative Assembly election, 2015 he travelled throughout the state to report on the mood of the state.[2][3]
Early life and education
Rana Yashwant born in Rampur Kalan village of Chapra (earlier Saran) district of Bihar and studied up to class 10th in the village only. He thenafter moved on to Patna and from there to BHU, Varanasi.[4] He did PG.Dip in journalism from Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Delhi (1996–97). Rana Yashwant is married to Anjana Singh and has one son Kshitij Rana and one daughter Bhavini Singh.[5]
Awards and achievements
He has been bestowed upon with RedInk award for his show Ardhsatya (2016) and Rajiv Gandhi Global Excellence Award for outstanding Hindi Journalism (2012).[6] He has bagged Bharatiya Manvadhikar Samman also for Ardhsatya.[7][8] For the best managing editor he has been honoured with NAI samman (2014) and NBC award (2014).[9][10]
