Shesashish Acharya (born 20 April 1964) is an Indian Executive serving as the Chief Commercial Officer of Milk Mantra Pvt Ltd, which is today one of the leading dairy based companies in India. Prior to this, he was the Senior Consultant for Consultree India after leaving Tata Sky Pvt Ltd as Senior Vice President - Sales. He was awarded the Colgate Palmolive Global Chairman's Award in 2003 and was awarded for excellence in Sales/Business Development in numerous occasions.
Early life and education
Shesashish hails from Cuttack, Odisha. Shesashish was the youngest of his five siblings, He did his schooling and undergraduate from Odisha. Shesashish obtained his Bachelor in Science from the prestigious Utkal University in Odisha and then went on to do his Diploma in Sales and Marketing from Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan, Mumbai. He is also Strategic Project Leadership certified by Dr.Aaron J. Shenhar & Technological Leadership Institute
In 1988, right out of college he joined Colgate Palmolive. In the early days he worked as the Sales Territory Supervisor. In 2004 he was promoted to Field Promotions Manager (Customer Marketing) Region East. Along with holding an important position, he managed multiple multi- crore projects in Colgate.
After a brief 16 years, he quit Colgate Palmolive in 2004 to join Venus Healthcare Services, a company based in Kolkata, India.
Within 5 months of his job at Venus, he was recruited by Shalina Healthcare to lead their Democratic Republic of the Congo office. He was responsible for the entire sales/distribution/Managing & strengthening relationship with Govt & other Business Associates.
After a successful year abroad, he returned to India in Nov 2005 to join Tata Sky Pvt Ltd. Shesashish was responsible for one of the largest branches in the country, and was one of the first few employees to be elevated to the Vice President Level within a year and a half of his tenture. At Tata Sky he spearheaded multiple teams such as the Sales Leadership Team, Cross functional Team, DTH Business etc. Under his responsibility, his region grew to become one of the biggest regions in the country. He was also responsible for getting TataSky to the number 1 position in the country. His reputation grew as an executive when he gave his company unimaginable sales numbers. He was awarded by the Governor of Assam for excellence a in DTH Business
In 2013, after 8 years with Tata Sky, he took a break from his job to join his friend at Consultree India Pvt Ltd where he handled multiple MNC Clients. Along with this he was responsible for expanding operations all India.
In 2014 June, he was recruited by Milk Mantra Pvt Ltd as Chief Commercial Officer, which is India's 1st Venture Capital funded agri-food start up and one of the fastest growing consumer dairy brand in India. As CCO he is responsible for driving the development & execution of the commercialization strategy of the company. This involves activities relating to marketing, sales, product development, customer service etc to drive business growth and market share. With him rests the ownership of the customer and the customer interface.
