Siddhant Vats is an Indian entrepreneur and investor. He is the co-founder of Androidly Systems, and Vats "has been credited to have made the world's first Android technology watch."[1] "Androidly's smartwatch is designed to function independently."[2]

He is currently the co-founder and president of the non-profit Falak Foundation, which works with the under-privileged children to bridge the social gap in the society.[1][3]

Early life and education

Siddhant Vats was born in Patna, Bihar, India. His father Shreevats Sanjay is the Deputy Director General at India Tourism, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. His mother, Ratna Purkayastha, is an officer with Doordarshan Kendra (Ministry of Information and Broadcasting).[4] Vats is currently a student at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill as an economics major with a minor in entrepreneurship.

Siddhant is also a speaker at the TEDx Talks.[7]

Philanthropy

Vats is co-founder and president of the non profit organization Falak Foundation.[1] He started the non-profit with teaching children and organizing free health camps when he was still in school. The Falak Foundation currently works in the health, education and skill development sectors.[1]

Vats set up an International Monastery (Wat Lao] in Bodh Gaya, with the intent of increasing foreign exchange and economic growth in India.[8]

Personal life

Vats lived seven years in London, United Kingdom before shifting to United States. He also lived in Los Angeles from a period of 2005-2008.Template:Cn
