Sumona Haque Sumi (Template:Lang-bn) is a Bangladeshi Entrepreneur and Fashion designer. She was former member of Fashion Designing at BUFT and SMUCT. She is wife of Bangladesh national cricket team captain Mashrafe Mortaza.[1][2][3]

Early life and education

Sumi was born and brought up Narail, Khulna. She completed her SSC and HSC from Narail Victoria College.[4] Later she moved to Dhaka city in 2003. She was admitted to the Department of Fashion Designing at the BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology in (2003–2004) for his bachelor's degree.[1]

Personal life

Sumi was born in the district of Narail in south-west Bangladesh. She enjoyed playing sports such as badminton from a young age.

At Govt. Victoria College, Narail, Sumi met Mashrafe Mortaza,[1] whom She married in 2006.[1] They both have a daughter name Humaira Mortaza and a son Shahil Mortaza.[1]

Sumi, wife of Bangladesh national cricket team captain and Awami League, Narail-2 candidate Mashrafe Mortaza,[1] campaigned for her husband on December 2018.[2][5][6]


Sumi started her career as an independent Fashion Designer and Entrepreneur, after her graduation later on 2006, She was the former fashion designer in BGMEA and SMUCT from (2006–2010).[7] She is now working in a project as a Fashion Designer in Mash Clothing Brand

She worked as a Fashion Designer and invited as a guest at TRESemme Bangladesh Fashion Week in 23 February 2019.[8][9]
