Upfiring is a decentralized peer-to-peer file-sharing platform built on the Ethereum blockchain that was founded in 2017.[1] The project uses a cryptocurrency token with the ticker UFR and smart contracts to allow for tokenized seeding.[2][3] The UFR token is based on the Ethereum platform[4].
The Upfiring desktop application was released on February 5, 2019 for Windows, MacOS, and Linux operating systems.[5][4]
