Chimsnero Goldsmith also known as Chimaobi Chijioke Collins Ebirim (born April 20, 1990)[1] is a Nigerian rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer and actor. He was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria.[2] He was born in a family of six, four brothers, mum and dad both civil savants and he lost his dad when he was nine years old. He first garnered recognition when he became 100 finalist in Nokia don’t break Da Beat. He later came to prominence as a rapper, releasing several mixtapes before signing to starting up his own record lebel FreashBoiz Movement Entertainment in June 2008. He started performing at the age of 14 by the stage name Lil Chi and went on to write his first song after forming a music group with a friend while in secondary school called The Sounthsiders. He started music professionally by recording songs in the studio while in secondary school before he went on to release his first single "Blow my mind" produced by A square. He holds a National Diploma certificate after studying Computer Engineering at the Yaba College of technology.[1][2] He is currently has a brand new single called ‘’Caught Off Guard’’ produced by youngbodzy, MI and Lil Wayne as people he draws inspiration from.[

Early life and education

Chimsnero Goldsmith was born to Igbo parents in Olodi-apapa, Lagos State and went on to complete his primary and secondary school education there. Chimsnero Goldsmith took interest in dancing before he delved into music after watching some of his peers rap.

Career

2012–2014

Chimsnero Goldsmith's professional music career started in 2012 but he became popular in 2014 after he recorded his first single titled "Bamilole" which was positively accepted majorly by students in Nigerian universities. he signed his first music contract with Freashboiz Movement Ent.

2015–present

On 23 February 2015, Chimsnero Goldsmith released a song titled "Caught off guard" which was produced by youngbodzy [3]

Style of music

Chimsnero Goldsmith versatility and style of music has been similarized to that of Drake who raps about his life.[4][5]

Personal life

Chimsnero Goldsmith is currently based in Famagusta, North Cyprus. He is also a student of Graphic Design at the Eastern Mediterranean University.[6]
