oooh, orphan The Dell 320SLi was a laptop that was recalled by Dell in 1993.[1] The machine had a faulty capacitor that could, under extreme physical stress, cause the system to overheat and in some cases explode. Registered owners were sent letters concerning the recall. The recall was issued on October 15, 1993 and was for about 17,000 computers.[1]

On release, the computer was praised for its lightness; it weighed 3.6 lb.[2][3][4]

The computer was included as a (Dis)Honorable Mention in PC World's list of the 25 worst technology products, where it was described as "the Ford Pinto of notebook PCs".[5]
