Deletionpedia v2 is a wiki is to rescue articles deleted from Wikipedia. It was started by Guaka on December 24th 2013 and so far we've been rescuing 91,249 articles.

Deletionpedia v1 was doing this for a while in 2008 but has stopped working (most rescues in 2008, last edit in 2012). Guaka (talk) plans to keep v2 going for a bit longer.

Unlike DPv1 people are allowed to edit v2, but it's advisable to wait until articles have been definitely deleted on Wikipedia. If an article is not deleted we won't delete the article here, we'll just put a template linking back to Wikipedia. Like that you can still go into the history of an article and find your edits. It also helps when an article is deleted 3 months later anyway (as is very often the case).

Click on Random page to get an idea about what kind of stuff gets deleted on Wikipedia. A lot of that are great quality articles written by people who care and spent a lot of time on them, including research and adding references.
