Barsha(Template:Lang-bn) is short for Barsha Ritu, the Sanskrit word meaning monsoon. This is one of the six seasons (ritu), each lasting two months: Vasant (spring), Grishma (summer), Barsha (monsoon), Sharad (autumn), Hemant (pre-winter), and Shishir (winter).
The word Barsha is also used as name for girls. The word Barsha is also used as Rain.
