David St. James (born September 4, 1947) is an American actor.[1]
Career
He has guest starred in a number of notable television series including NYPD Blue, ER, Family Matters, Step by Step, Seinfeld Beverly Hills, 90210, Alias, Chicago Hope, Will & Grace and among other series.[1] St James has also had recurring roles The West Wing as Congressman Darren Gibson and on the Nickelodeon sitcom iCarly as Mr. Howard. He also has appeared on an episode of The Amanda Show in a Tony Pajamas skit as Principal Flanagan.
Some of his film credits include Black Sheep (1996), Alien: Resurrection (1997), L.A. Confidential and Donnie Darko (2001).[1]
St. James has also acted on stage in productions primarily in the California area.[1]
Personal life
St. James was born David Francis Jones in Honolulu, Hawaii. He grew up in military family and moved around many times as a child. His father served in the United States Navy and his mother was a painter.[2]
He is a graduate of the University of Georgia and also served a naval tour in the Vietnam War.[2]
St. James has married once, the marriage ended in divorce.[2]
