Douglas Ballard (born 18 May 1947) is an energy healer from Tonbridge, Kent. He claims to have been given healing and visionary abilities by non-religious direct contact with universal energy.

Background

Ballard was born in Tonbridge, Kent and claims to have been aware of an ‘Intelligent Energy’ from the age of six. Ballard ran an architectural design and lighting business. He was chairman of the Institute of Lighting Management and also a Member of the Chartered Management Institute.

It was not until later in his forties that he claimed to have a powerful healing ability.

Career

While on business trip to Colorado, Ballard placed his hands on a woman suffering from severe back and neck pain from a skiing accident, and she reported enormous pain relief, before ceasing to feel any pain at all. Ballard subsequently spoke of being able to read what he calls people's "energy patterns" that stretch into the future. So convinced was he of this combination of healing and psychic skills, Ballard managed a transition from businessman to full time healer and psychic visionary in the early 1990s.

Ballard went on to become a trustee and board director of the Confederation of Healing Organisations (CHO) and Kent International Healing Association. Ballard consults weekly at London’s College of Psychic Studies[1] and has held frequent shows during open evenings since 2010. In 2017, Ballard opened a consultancy in Knightsbridge for local and international clients.

Ballard has been consulted by Prince Janek Zylinsky of Poland over various issues, and Ballard offers advice on property-related issues, claiming to be able to predict house sale prices exactly.[2] Ballard says the most common complaints he deals with are stress, back pain, migraines and asthma.[3]

Ballard has made appearances at Soho House in London and is the subject of a documentary by award-winning producer-director Mark Dyson about the power of healing.
