Francine Nyanko Koffi also known as Fantana, is a Ghanaian musician raised in the USA. She was signed on to Rufftown Records.She is under the management of Blown GH. Fantana parted ways with Rufftown Records in May 2020.[1][2]

Early life

She was born in Atlanta-Georgia in the USA where she had her education and she is an Nzema from the Western Region of Ghana. She studied business and fashion at school.[3]

Career

The name Fantana was given to her by Bullet as a result of branding her to make her unique in the music industry. She came out with her debut song "So What". She has also had features on various shows and concerts.[4][5][6] Fantana's "So What" has garnered almost a million views on YouTube.

Fantana's performances at Tidal Rave, Back to Taifa and Reign were heavily criticized by entertainment critics in Ghana.[7] She improved during her performance at 4syte TV's Pent Hall Week.

Controversies

In 2019, Fantana was billed to perform at Shatta Wale's annual REIGN Concert. Leading to her performance she experienced her menses as a result of her peformace the pad she was wearing was exposed due to her outfit. This incident was in the Ghanaian headlines for several weeks. Later, Fantana started a foundation by giving some teenage adolescents some sanitary pads.[8][9]
