Felix Chidi Idiga (born Template:Birth date) is a Nigerian Businessman and an Entrepreneur. [1] Idiga is the Chairman/CEO of JAFAC Group of Companies and the Founder of GOGAN[2][3]

Early life and Education

Felix Chidi Idiga attended St. Mary's Primary school, Amaifeke, Orlu, Imo State, 1972 to 1977 and later proceeded to secondary school. He ventured into the business world in 1984. Idiga later proceeded to University of Lagos, Akoka for his Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, he also attended Dorben Polytechnic Bwari, Abuja, Nigeria to study Business Administration & Management.[4]

Business

In 2013, the JAFAC consortium ventured into aviation - Aircraft leasing and general aviation. The operational base of Global Private Jet Charter Limited is in the East and West African Region.[5]

JAFAC Foundation

Idiga co-founded JAFAC Foundation with his wife Mrs. Chinyere Idiga to enhance the quality of lives of Nigerians by supporting initiatives that will improve access to health and educational opportunities.[6][7] Over 3000 persons have benefited from JAFAC Foundation's continuous reach outs and intervention programmes.[8]

Politics

In 2015, Governor Rochas Okorocha endorsed Felix Idiga for Imo west Senatorial Zone.[9][10] He later went on to support the ruling party All Progressive Congress (APC) on a State and Federal level. Felix Idiga is also the Founder, Chairman/National Coordinator of Good Governance Ambassadors of Nigeria (GOGAN)).[11][12] [13]GOGAN is a support group for Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, the group advocate of good governance in Nigeria.[14][15][16]

Controversies

In 2014,[17] [18] it was reported by an online medium that Idiga's private jet was used by former President, Goodluck Johnathan’s administration, to smuggle the sum of $9.3m from Nigeria to South Africa.[19][20] The allegations was however disproved when the former Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) president, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor came out to declare the plane in question belonged to him.[21][22]
