On 24 January 2019 Alex Salmond, a former First Minister of Scotland, was arrested and charged with 14 charges at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.[1][2][3][4]

These are: two charges of attempted rape, contrary to Section 1 of the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 2009, nine of sexual assault, contrary to Section 3 of this Act, two of indecent assault, and one of breach of the peace.[1][2][3]

Salmond denies all criminality.[1][2][3]
