Innocent's first solo exhibition took place in August 2016, at the The Living Gallery in Brooklyn. The exhibition was titled Wall 2016 and featured ten small paintings by Jason, written by hand, bringing the practice of tagging into the formalized academic space.
In September 2016, Innocent collaborated with Getty Image's photographer Alex Wong to create an "unofficial campaign poster" for Donald Trump with the phrase "Ego Maniac" added. According to Innocent, the work aims to reclaim the importance of every vote.
In an interview with Idol Magazine, Innocent stated his influences are Jean-Michel Basquiat, SAMO, Marcel Duchamp and Dada He has also been inspired by classical music, jazz, alternative rock and grunge.
