Jewel Fatima Avejade Mische-Kurzer (born June 29, 1990 in Manila, Philippines) is a Filipina model and actress.


Although born in Manila, Jewel grew up in Bulacan. Her father is of German-Spanish-American descent while her mother is Filipina. Studied at the University of the Philippines, Yokota Aviation (Flight School), and Cathedral of Praise Bible College.[1]



Mische won and was named as the Ultimate Sweetheart on GMA-7's talent reality search, StarStruck. She gathered hundred thousands of votes. Received Millions both in cash and exclusive management contract with GMA 7, Belgian waffle franchises worth 250 thousand pesos each, 50,000 gift certificates to Calayan, and scholarships to Informatics. [no citations needed here] She also received a modeling contract with the Dutch Mill Yogurt Drink.

After StarStruck

After winning StarStruck, she started in various television guesting and shows. She became part of the now defunct noontime variety show, SOP. In 2007, she got her first acting job and lead role as Luming/Mina in an episode the Sunday afternoon series Magic Kamison, that ran for six weeks. She was then nominated at the 21st Star Awards for Television for Best New Female Personality for that series. After the said series, she got to play as Madel in Mga Mata ni Angelita, which was her first primetime series. Then she became a part of the cast in Mark Herras' Fantastic Man as Agent Vicky where she replaced the character of Valerie Concepcion which is Agent Belle, due to her transfer in another network.

She landed her first major role in a primetime series called Kamandag, where she played as Jenny, which also starred Richard Gutierrez and Maxene Magalona.

She is one of the celebrity endorsers of Brit London (line of shirts). As of September 1, 2007, Jewel became a Regal Films contract star.[2] Mother Lily of Regal signed her up to an eight-picture contract that started her being cast to an episode of the horror trilogy Shake, Rattle & Roll 9, which entitled, Engkanto where she got to work, for the first time, with the artists of the rival network. She played as Tonee, a member of a teenage gothic band.

She has a special participation in LaLola.

Move to ABS-CBN

At the end of 2010, Jewel Mische moved to ABS-CBN after she ended her contract under GMA-7 and signed a two-year contract under ABS-CBN and manage by Star Magic . She is, for the first time, Starstruck winner to move to Kapamilya network together with Starstruck Avengers Megan Young (season 2, became a celebrity housemate), Cristine Reyes (season 1), Tyrone Perez (season 1), Johan Santos (season 3) and Paulo Avelino (season 4) the latest. Her very first project as a Kapamilya was to be part of Maalaala Mo Kaya entitled "Ice cream". Followed by Wansapanataym: Rod Santiago's: Buhawi Jack as a love interest of Jack played by Kapamilya hearthrob Gerald Anderson.Then she landed her very first primetime series in 100 Days to Heaven as Jessica Cruz. And she was chosen to be part of Maria La Del Barrio (Philippine TV series) where she played the role of Sabrina, wife of Luis Fernando Dela Vega played by Enchong Dee. Currently, she will be one of the lead cast of Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Paraiso (TV series) starring Jessy Mendiola, Matteo Guidicelli and Matt Evans directed by Rechie Del Carmen and Nico Hernandez coming soon on Kapamilya Gold. Mische will play the role of Meagan, wife of Brennan played by Matteo Guidicelli. As of now, Mische took a break from showbiz due to engagement to her American boyfriend Alister Kurzer, whom she wed on February 28, 2015.
