Rehman Azhar served as an anchor, news producer and special correspondent at Dunya News Television and currently associated with aaj news. Rehman Azhar was born on 18 January 1981. He joined the network in 2010 and is based in Lahore head office. He has earlier worked with Express News, Express 24/7, Geo Television Network and ARY media group.

He has won numerous competitions of debates. He is often invited to adjudicate Parliamentary debates in various universities and colleges. He was also President of Debating Society of Government College University, Lahore and General Secretary of English Literary Circle. He was captain of Government College University’s lawn tennis.

Apart from doing prime time nightly news, he handled transmissions on special days interviewing people on occasions like Labor Day, 14 August and Eid day. He also played a pivotal role as part of the Express Television's team for coverage of American Elections 2008 and anchored the special marathon transmission.
Before joining Dunya Television, Rehman has worked in various capacities in media and broadcasting industry. Mainly he worked as a correspondent and anchor for Express News, Express 24/7 and Geo television. As a reporter he has been doing on the spot coverage for general events and sports in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. He started his work as a creative writer and script writer for documentaries, programs and promos for ARY media group.
