The Telecom-Multimedia Platform is a proprietary, cross-platform, communication technology that incorporates Voice over IP (VoIP) and digital media sharing to allow real-time content (photos, music, videos, etc.) to be displayed, exchanged, and saved by users during a phone call. Designed and developed by CallPal LLC, the platform allows users to connect using their existing cellular numbers and functions via wifi or cellular data network. The first app to integrate the Telecom-Multimedia Platform is CallPal App, which is currently compatible with Apple iOS and Android.
One key feature of the Telecom-Multimedia Platform is the ability to “showcase” media during a phone call, allowing users to interact with exclusive content, sharing it with other users in real-time, with the further ability to upload and share their own content. Calls are made using a headset or speakerphone, taking the conversation from the ear to in-front of the face. The platform can handle multiple calls simultaneously, with group calls supporting up-to 50 users at once.
Another key feature of the Telecom-Multimedia Platform is the Media Dial System, a proprietary technology that recognizes when a user dials the phone number of a business and then displays content from that business to the user. For example, if a user dials the number of a restaurant, the Media Dial System will recognize this and allow the restaurant to display its menu (or events, promotions, etc.) on the user’s screen. In the Telecom-Multimedia Platform, the Media Dial System integrates in two ways: through a business’s Channel, and through a business’s Library. A Channel generally contains informative or promotional content related to the business, while the Library contains any legal agreements, contracts, forms, and PDF files the business may frequently require from clients (i.e. legal or medical practices).
The Telecom-Multimedia Platform utilizes End-to-end encryption (E2EE) for users communicating app-to-app through messages and phone calls. This encryption system prevents potential eavesdroppers – including telecommunication providers, ISPs, and even the providers of the app itself – from acquiring the necessary keys to decrypt the conversation. This system is designed to thwart attempts at surveillance or hacking because third parties cannot decipher the data being communicated or stored.
