"The Breakup song" is a dance song with predominately Hindi lyrics from the soundtrack of 2016 Hindi film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. It is sung by Jonita Gandhi, Arijit Singh and Nakash Aziz with a rap by Badshah. The song is composed by Pritam Chakraborty with the lyrics written by Amitabh Bhattacharya.
The music video of the song focuses on the actors Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma.[1]
Release and reception
The song was released by Sony Music India on its official YouTube channel on 13 October 2016. As of June 2017, the song has over 192 million views on YouTube, which makes it one of the most streamed Bollywood songs on YouTube.[2]
Accolades
Jonita Gandhi was nominated in the category of the "Best Female Singer" for her rendition of the song by Filmfare Awards 2017.[3]
