The Grub Festival is claimed to be the biggest food festival based in New Delhi. It was originally created in 2012 by four co-founders, Aman Kumar, Arjun Jain, Chaitanya Mathur, and Mani Singh Cheema.[1] In 2016, 50000 people attended the event.[2]

The 2017 Edition

The 2017 edition provided live music performances by Bally Sagoo, Anish Sood, Guru Randhawa, Hari & Sukhmani, and Akhil Sachdeva. The festival also included over 25 new restaurants. Each of these restaurants were pop-ups with distinct ambiance.[3] It also hosted the Indian Madame Tussauds including the wax model of Justin Bieber. It took place at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

The Grub theatre offers several cooking demonstrations and mixology which will be hosted by Hoegaarden, Clayton Gracias and Bohca.

The restauration venues

In 2016, there were more than 70 restaurants involved in the festival. Some restaurants are present at the festival every year such as Koyla Kebab. Niche Lounge also offers a double storeyed food truck.[4] The Grub festival involved more than 120 restaurants in 2017.The festival doesn't only welcome renowned restaurants but gives also the opportunity food-trucks. The area where the mini-vans are settled is called the "Grub Mile".
