104.9 FM is a new English language commercial radio station which will broadcast an active rock format on the frequency of 104.9 MHz/FM in Hinton, Alberta, Canada. To be owned by Newcap Broadcasting, the new station received approval to broadcast from the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) on February 20, 2014. The station will broadcast with an effective radiated power of 1,100 watts (non-directional antenna with an effective height of antenna above average terrain of 345.4 metres).[1]
