Joren van Pottelberghe (born June 5, 1997 in Zug) is a Swiss professional ice hockey goaltender. He is currently playing for HC Davos in the National League A, Switzerland’s top league. He was selected by the Detroit Red Wings (4th round, 110rd overall) in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.[1]

Born in Zug, van Pottelberghe began his ice hockey career in the youth ranks at EV Zug. In 2013, he took the chance to further his development in Sweden, joining the Linköpings HC junior team.[2] Three years later, he returned to his native Switzerland, signing a three-year deal with HC Davos of the National League A (NLA).[3] Starting into the 2016-17 campaign, HCD decided to go with a young goaltending duo of van Pottelberghe and Gilles Senn, giving them the chance to prove themselves in the Swiss top-flight and in the Champions Hockey League.[4]

International career

Van Pottelberghe represented the Swiss national team at the 2015 IIHF World U18 Championships and the IIHF World U20 Championships.
