Mascot Books is one of the fastest growing mid-sized independent book publishers in the United States and Canada.[no citations needed here] Co-founded in 2003 by Naren Aryal, the company has published over 1,000 titles in various genres including fiction and non-fiction, early chapter, science fiction, children's books, romance, cookbooks and other publishing projects. Mascot Books publishes content from new authors, previously self-published authors, and authors that have been traditionally published in the past. Elementary school fundraising

In 2009, Mascot Books established a new line of elementary school mascot books featuring school-specific, customized characters and story lines. Mascot Books has since published nearly 50 elementary school books in 22 states. The books provide schools a chance to raise money in nonfood related ways.
