Former child star Orlando Brown's lawyer is requesting a mental health check that could enable him to plead insanity in his court case.

The troubled actor was arrested in December for domestic violence after a conflict with a man that he was living with, according to <a style="font-weight: bold;" class="class" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" target="_blank" website class="mol-para-with-font"> Brown was accused of threatening the man with a hammer and a knife blade, resulting in a first-degree misdemeanor charge of aggravated menacing.
The man claimed he allowed Brown to live with him because the actor was otherwise homeless, law enforcement sources said.
