Bishnu Majhi (Template:Lang-ne) is a Nepali folk singer.[1] She has recorded over 10,000 songs in a career spanning 20 years.[no citations needed here]

Biography

She was born on June 26, 1986 in the neighborhood of Chapakot (Ratnapur-05) located in Syangja.

When she was 15 years old, she went to Butwal Mahotsab (बुटवल महत्सव) for a live Dohori singing competition. Singer and composer Sundar Mani Adhikari brought Bishnu Majhi to Kathmandu to turn her into a professional singer. After living with him for eight years, she married him in December, 2013.
