Football biography

Christian Pulisic (born 18 September 1998) is an American soccer player with Borussia Dortmund in the German Bundesliga. [1] [2] Pulisic is considered by many to be the crown jewel of American soccer prospects.[3] His rapid rise with the US Youth National Teams has been mirrored by his rapid rise through the Borussia Dortmund academy, where he played just 11 games before being brought into the first team by coach Thomas Tuchel during the 2015-16 Holiday break.[4]

Club career

Borussia Dortmund

On 4 January 2016, Borussia Dortmund signed 17 yeard old Pulisic and assigned him to their U19 squad. After scoring 5 and assisting 5 in just 11 games with the Dortmund youth teams, Pulisic was called to join the first team over winter break.[5] While with the first team in pre-season training, Pulisic played the second half of two games, scoring one goal and assisting another.[6] On 24 January 2016, a day after making his debut on the first team bench,[7] Pulisic played 90 minutes in a friendly against FC Union Berlin, scoring a goal and assisting another.[8] His first team debut is imminent.[9]

International

Christian Pulisic has represented the United States at the U-15 and U-17 levels. Pulisic captained the US U-17 national team at the 2015 U17 World Cup in Chile, where he had a goal and an assist in three games. [10] Pulisic scored 20 goals in 34 games with the U17's during his two year cycle with the team.
