Gopal Rai is a social activist and politician of the Aam Aadmi Party.


Rai began his career with the All India Students Association, the student wing of the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Liberation, in Lucknow University in 1992.[1][2] He is a member of the National Executive of the Aam Aadmi party.[3]


Gopal Rai and two other member lead "Mein Bhi Aam Aadmi" campaign which started on January 10 and continued till January 26 2014, for handling fund collection, association and management of other political groups.[4]

Rai lost the election from the Babarpur constituency got 25723 votes and stood in 3rd place in Delhi legislative assembly elections, 2013.[5]
