Mike Steib is an American CEO and author.[1][2] Steib joined XO Group (NYSE: XOXO) as president in July 2013 and assumed the role of CEO in March 2014.[3][4] XO Group provides multiplatform media and marketplace services and includes the brands: The Knot, The Nest, The Bump, GigMasters and How He Asked.[5]

Steib serves on the board of Fortune 500 financial services company, Ally Financial (NYSE: ALLY)[6] and is Co-chairman of the Board of Literacy Partners[7], a nonprofit that has provided family support services to thousands of New Yorkers since 1975.[8]

From 2011 to 2013, Mike served as CEO of Vente-Privee USA, an ecommerce venture backed by American Express.[9] From 2007 to 2011, Steib was Director of Google TV Ads[10], where he helped to build Google’s mobile and video advertising businesses.[11][12] Before Google, Mike was the General Manager of Strategic Ventures at NBC Universal, where he founded and led operations for NBBC and NBC Weather Plus, the first all-digital broadcast television network.[13] In 2004, NBC Weather Plus was recognized with the GE Imagination Breakthrough award.[14] Prior to that, Mike worked at Walker Digital, an internet incubator, and at McKinsey & Company.[15]

Steib received a BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania in 1998.[16][17] He is a named inventor of multiple digital media patents[18] and played a supporting actor role in the 2017 independent film The Mad Ones.[19]
