Aditi Raval (born 11 February 1986 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India), popularly known as "RJ Aditi" is a notable Indian Radio Jockey based at Ahmedabad.[no citations needed here] She has won the award for "Most Glamourous RJ of Gujarat" in 2013. She is an Ex-RJ who hosted the Evening Drive Time Show at Red FM 93.5, Ahmedabad.[1]

Early Life and Education

Aditi Raval was born on February 11, 1986 in Ahmedabad. She completed her schooling from Sharda Mandir Vinay Mandir School. She graduated as Bachelor of Commerce from R. J. Tibrewal College of Commerce, Ahmedabad.[2] In her school days, she was a state level volleyball player. She was also a Volleyball Team captain in her college time and has played Volleyball for almost 8 years. She pursued basic photography in her early 20s and has walked the ramp for well-known fashion choreographer Keyur desai. She has also participated in IIM-A chaos fashion show.


Before entering into Radio, RJ Aditi worked as a freelance writer in City Bhaskar’s college campus column.[3] She did Modeling, Photography, Event promotions & Dance shows.[4] She has taught and choreographed Dance and Fashion Show for various institutes as well.[5]

94.3 My FM

She started working with My FM in 2007, where she appointed as an OB Jock but ended up doing Morning (initially) & Evening prime time show.[6] Within 3 month of the launch, She was recognized Most recall top 5 RJs in Ahmedabad.[7] After working as a Prime time jock for one year in My FM, RJ Aditi took a break for one and half month and then she joined 93.5 S FM (now known as a RedFM) - a division of Sun Network in July 2008.

93.5 RED FM

After joining South Asia FM LTD (now Red FM 93.5), RJ Aditi hosted Evening drive time show for few months then Morning prime time show for another few months and after the re-branding of the station, she is hosting the evening show called GJ935 (5-9 pm) since 2009 with her co-jock RJ Harshil. GJ935 soon gained popularity among the people of Ahmedabad, due to the creative content and spontaneous humor. The show become popularly known as "Evening Drive of Ahmedabad" and thereby gave both RJs popular phrase as "Amdavad ni aghari noto".

Gj935 show gained widespread popularity due to various campaigns like RedFM Campfire, Bade Dilwala, TashanBaaz, Beat the Heat by Chooso Gola, Laagi 100-100 ni, Aaj Ki Joke, GJ935 ka Bhopu, Mathabhaare tukko, Chatur karo vichar, etc. RJ Aditi and RJ Harshil were the first and only Gujarati RJ till date, to do live video chat with their fans over social media. The Duo RJs also hosted various on-ground shows, product promotion, campus events and contests like treasure hunt.[8] RJ Aditi also did first and only Rock band competition of Ahmedabad on radio, Rockparva in 2009. GJ935 show also focuses on every weekly movie reviews and Celebrity Interviews. RJ Aditi has interviewed various celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, etc. She has also interviewed political people like current prime minister of India, Narendra Modi. During the show, they often also call people from overseas like USA, Canada, Dubai or Pakistan and take their views on various topics.[9]

Along with Radio, RJ Aditi also raised as Internet celebrity of Gujarat. She has over 150K organic likes on Verified Facebook page, 26K Followers on Instagram, 15K Followers & 797K views on Google plus and 11K on Twitter. Her SoundCloud has been heard by over 3K people with over 162K times play.[no citations needed here] She was also the Digital trend setter for Red Rass (Season 5 Launch event).[10] Her YouTube video Shit Ahmedabad Speaks was covered by various online as well as offline media.[11][12] RJ Aditi was also the first RJ in India to do Audio chat with fans on WeChat. RJ Aditi is considered as the most active RJ on social media, in Gujarat.[no citations needed here]

Other Work

RJ Aditi is also a Foodie and often reviews food of various Restaurants of Ahmedabad. She is also a Movie critic at Youth Connect Magazine.[13] RJ Aditi has also narrated story for Vibrant Navratri 2014.[14][15] She was also associated with Bey Yaar film for which she got the opening credits and mention in the book ‘Aa toh just vaat chhe’ as well. She has conducted India’s First Selfie workshop, which was also world's 2nd Selfie class.[16][17] Her selfie workshop received her a nation-wide media coverage. [18][19]
