Tena Coker Bastian is an American cowboy poet, author and clinician.

A former 4H Youth Advisor, Bastian has written Tips and Tidbits for the Horselover.[1]

She has been a featured speaker at The Equine Affaire in Ohio, California, Kentucky; the Western States Horse Expo in Sacramento, California, the South Dakota Horse Fair and other venues. She has also been a guest on the nationally syndicated radio programs, The Horse Show with Rick Lamb and Pet Talk Radio.

She also created a project for the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association entitled “Iron Horse”, which was featured in Equus, Horse Illustrated and Horse & Rider. The original piece was auctioned at The All American Quarter Horse Congress to benefit the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association.

Her book, The Foal Is The Goal[2] has been selected for the United States National Agricultural Library,[3] and has been chosen as the featured selection in the Equestrian Book Club and was reprinted in Spanish.
