Anita Yadav (अनिता यादव) is the daughter of the President of Nepal, Ram Baran Yadav. She is active within social activism, child obesity, women empowerment. Her work involves helping marginalized sections of society including women to enhance their livelihoods and reduce their vulnerability.

Home and family

Anita Yadav[1] was born at Sapahi Village Development Committee (VDC), a rural area in the Dhanusa district of Nepal. Dhanusa lies in the south-central region of Outer Terai. She has two brothers, Chandra Mohan Yadav and Chandra Shekhar Yadav.


Yadav has a Masters of Arts degree in Health and Social Policy from London Metropolitan University. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Childhood and Society with Women’s Studies from the University of Surrey, Guildford, and she also has a diploma in fashion design from Cavendish College, London.

Current Project

She designed and implement creative group programs benefiting socially under privileged population enhancing their social skills and self-esteem. She also facilitate capacity building activities with women leaders at the local level to enhance their political role and representation at the national and subnational levels in order to ensure women’s rights implementation She involves herself to maintain regular interpersonal communications with local agencies, law enforcement, medical professionals. she spends most of her time Conducting various outreach activities in the community to raise awareness for women's and child’s health issues

Foreign Visit

The President of Nepal, Dr. Ram Baran Yadav being welcomed at the ceremonial reception by the President, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil and the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh at Rashtrapati Bhavan, in New Delhi on February 16, 2010. The daughter of the President of Nepal, Ms. Anita Yadav is also seen in the picture.

SAARC 2014 Reception at Shital Niwas ( president palace)

President Ram Baran Yadav hosted dinner reception for all the state head[2] and SAARC first ladies on November 27, the final day of the Summit at his own official residence in Shital Niwas and First daughter Anita yadav welcomed all the state heads and SAARC first ladies.
