B Chandrakala is a member of Indian Administrative Service since 2008 IAS Batch. She served as District Magistrate (DM) from 8 June 2014 to 14 October 2014. She transferred after 129 days and become second female District Magistrate of Mathura district. She remained in Allahabad, the SDM and the CDO.

Biography

B Chandrakala was born on September 27, 1979. She is from Karimnagar district of Telangana state and her mother tongue is Lambadi. She completed her post graduation in economics. Being active on the social media, one of her videos of rebuking a local contractor went viral. Since then she has become one of the few government officials who are followed by public on the internet. In 2017, she has been appointed as the director of `Swachh Bharat Abhiyan` and deputy secretary, Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation.[1] currently serving as District Magistrate of Bijnour, Uttar Pradesh, India.
