Robert Francis "Bobby" O'Neal (born March 17, 1976) is an American author and businessman.

Early life

Robert Francis O'Neal was born on March 17, 1976 in Los Angeles, California, to actor Ryan O'Neal and actress Farrah Fawcett. He has four brothers, Griffin, Patrick, Christopher and Redmond. His half-sister is actress Tatum O'Neal from his father's first marriage to actress Joanna Moore. His parents divorced in 1997.

O'Neal attended Harvard-Westlake School and graduated from the University of Southern California in 1999.


O'Neal started his career in acting appearing in his mother's made for TV movies and films. The Burning Bed (1984) and Poor little Rich Girl the Barbara Hutton Story (1986). In 2005, he appeared on his mother's reality show Chasing Farrah. In 2011, he had a cameo on the OWN network series Tatum and Ryan: The O'Neals with his father and Tatum.

Personal life

O'Neal is married and has three sons, twins Richard ("Dick") and Elliot ("Eli") (both born September 12, 2002) and Carter (born April 8, 2008).

He and his family reside in Beverly Hills,California.
